Richard is an actor, director, and educator originally hailing from the land of pleasant living, currently residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. When he is not at Mount St Joseph University working as the Director of Theatre Arts you can often find his clown doctor persona, Dr. Giacomo, strolling the halls of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His favorite directing credits include The Restaurant (Interlcohen Arts Camp), I, Cockroach (Urbana University) and The Apartment (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Summer Camp). Some of his favorite professional acting credits include Sam/Juliet in Shakespeare in Love at the (Baltimore Center Stage/Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park), Stanley in Brighton Beach Memoirs (Human Race Theatre), and Ensemble in Jane Eyre (CPIP).
He has performed internationally in Frankfurt, Germany with the Ensemble Aimee Rose in an adaptation of Faust titled Faust: Sweet Seduction. He is a proud member of the 2016-2017 Bruce E. Coyle Acting Intern Company at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and is an active EMC of Actor’s Equity Association. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Professional Actor Training Program at Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science from Towson University.
