Biography:

Eliza Ladd is a performer, director, stage writer, composer, choreographer and theater teacher from NYC. She is currently Assistant Professor of Movement for the Actor and Dance at FSU / Asolo Rep Conservatory for Actor Training in Sartasota FL. In addition to being a guest artist at numerous colleges, Eliza has taught Acting at Marymount Manhattan College, The Function of Theater at Kingsborough Community College and Ensemble Body Practice at Terry Schreiber Acting Conservatory. Eliza has created original multi-disciplinary work at PS 122, Dixon Place, Movement Research, the Knitting Factory, Joyce Soho and The Berkshire Fringe. She has performed at La Mama, the Kitchen, NY Theater Workshop, St. Ann’s Warehouse and with Shakespeare and Company in MA. Recently she has performed her solo show on est déshabillé, a comedy about death at Sarasolo, the United Solo Theatre Festival, Performance Mix Festival and The Berkshire Fringe. Eliza is currently seeking funding for research, development and residency opportunities for her ensemble musical Elephants and Gold originated at Naropa University and produced at the Boulder Fringe and The Berkshire Fringe. In addition to extensive training in Clown, Improvisation, Primitive Voice and Shakespeare and as a percussionist, singer and actor, Eliza holds a BA in Comparative Religion from Harvard University and an MFA in Theater: Contemporary Performance from Naropa University. Eliza is a certified Body Dynamics™ educator.
