Cynthia Kneen (pronounced neen) is an educator, author, performer, and long-time student of Tibetan buddhism, zen, and Japanese archery. She has been a voice-over actor for Soulful Media Films and Tendril Films, and is the author of Shambhala Warrior Training (Sounds True) and Awake Mind, Open Heart (Perseus Books/Avalon). Cynthia is a graduate of Helikos Scuola Internazionale di Creazione teatrale, a three-year Lecoq performance school in Italy directed by Giovanni Fusetti. In addition to Giovanni Fusetti and Kirsten Wilson, her writing and performance mentors include Matteo Destro (masks, mime), Liz Baron (voice, directing), and Elizabeth Robinson (poetry, hybrid writing genres). A long-time educator, Cynthia is a co-founder of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and has Masters degrees from Yale University and the University of Hamburg, Germany.
