As a stage combat instructor - Dan has taught at New York University - Tisch School of the Arts (2001-2019), Montclair State University (2001-2016), SUNY - New Paltz (2009), SUNY - Nassau Community College (2006-2008, 2013-2016), the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (Summer, 2015) and Marymount Manhattan College (2014 - present).
Dan is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors since 2004, awarded Fight Director status in 2018 and is a full member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
