2018 Pre-Conference Portal
If you have not registered yet, there’s still time! We will be able to process registrations on site, but register before you get there so you can spend more time catching up.
Presenters, please note that you have 40 minutes to present, take questions, etc. This is slightly longer than pre-con slots of the past so that we can be sure to stay on time without feeling rushed. The five-minute buffer between sessions is for a transition to the next presentation, so please help me keep us on schedule and be conscious of your time. If you would like Chelsea to keep time for you, let her know. Otherwise, you will receive a 5-minute warning and a “find an ending” hand gesture at the end.
The PDF file stored here was updated at 11:23am Eastern time on Tuesday July 31 – so if you downloaded it before that, make sure you get the latest copy now!

Casual dinner for anyone in town at a restaurant located generally between our homes at BU and the Westin Waterfront. I will be sure to find a place with gluten-free and vegan options. Please RSVP to me (chelseabridget@gmail.com) by 7/15 if you are attending and let me know of any other dietary restrictions or preferences so I can make the reservation.
Tuesday 7/31, 8:00am-8:00pm
Presentations and Workshops
Studio 270a
808 Commonwealth Avenue, Brookline, MA 02446
There will be a small speaker available. The speaker is Bluetooth and aux cord compatible.
Gallery Walk
The Booth Theatre
820 Commonwealth Avenue, Brookline, MA 02446
We will be on the stage. There will be plenty of table space for any displays, photos, scripts, etc that you bring to display. (Note that BU has requested that the Gallery Walk space is made available for BU students to peruse. This space will not be secured or monitored, so please take that into consideration)
You can begin Gallery Walk set up on stage at 8.15am on Tuesday. I will be there to help while Matt runs the check in next door. The Gallery Walk building and the presentation buildings are next to each other, so you can set up any technology at the start of lunch and take it down at the end. I will look after it for the duration of the lunch break. At the end of the day on Tuesday, there will be time to collect your things from the Gallery Walk space.
Gallery walk tables are 30″x72″. Extension cords are limited, so please supply your own if you plan on using one.
Parking and loading information for Tuesday from BU:
“There is a loading dock. It is at the corner of Essex and Dummer Street. However, you cannot leave your car at the dock for the day (it’s for loading/unloading only).
Street parking will be a challenge next Tuesday with the CAP Bridge project on Comm Ave. The lot under the building will not be open to non-BU Permit Holders. However, the Agganis Arena Parking (Lot A, 925 Commonwealth Ave) lot will be open to guests. It costs $2 per hour ($14 max) and is a short walk to Booth.”
